Raby Castle

Another favourite haunt of mine is Raby Castle. It has some beautiful grounds surrounding the castle and the enclosed gardens are superb. But the thing that attracts me most are the deer. They have a herd of deer wandering round the grounds. Somtimes it's a bit difficult to find them but today it was a treat. I will post some more images tomorrow as I haven't processed them all yet. But here are some pictures of the gardens. They do not do it justice I'm afraid.

They are really nice, Carole, Andre is absolutely right! I agree 200%.

Some look almost like paintings and the flowers are beautiful. And what I like the most are all these beautiful old castles that you have in GB! I wish to see once one or two in my life....

Great work!!!!!

Thank you Sue for your kind words. I think we in Britain tend to take for granted the Castles we have here. We have 26 castles in the North of England alone, some ruined, some still working & lived in. I hope one day you get the chance Sue. Raby Castle is beautiful inside you would love it.
