Well my patience finally paid off and I finally got some photos of the Kingfisher. It's a flighty little thing and very hard to catch at times, but this time it waited for me on the stick LOL Well me and another half dozen people scramling for the same shot and with their fabulous lenses LOL. Anyway i'm pleased what I got with my 200mm lens, they could've been sharper but I have a shot i'm happy with.

Not the best of shots but i was so frightened I would scare him/her with my camera noise.

Tawney Owl

A tawney owl was hiding in a tree. The images aren't perfect but I was qute a distance away so I'm rather happy they turned out ok.

Rainy Monday

Taken from the fields of Consett where I live. These fields were once home of the former British Steel Works; all gone long ago and replaced with green land.
Top right, you can just see the top of the Church peeking above the rooftops.

Raby Castle

Once again the great British weather strikes again. Just as you thought the sun was going to be out for the day, the sky changes and it starts to rain cats and dogs.

(commonly known as the Peewit from it's call)

The last image was taken a quite a distance and I had to srop quite a way in to it. It's not fabulous but I love the mother feeding her offspring grubs from the tree. I watched them for ages as she taught her youngster how to peck and search for grubs.

We are not amused!

I spotted this couple at Hexham and they looked like they had just had a massive row and were not speaking. I had to take this from quite some distance. I like candid photography where it's natural and no posing. Every picture tells a story and this spoke volumes to me.
