Experimenting low key

This last two are just John & Mel fooling around. I think it's John's impersonation of Jack Nicholson in The Shining & Mel hiding frightened away from him LOL



My friend John, fellow photographer, kindly took me under his wing last night and showed me how to set up for low key shots.Mel his wife kindly did the modelling . They maybe not to everyones taste but very different for me too. And these had hardly any work done to them other than a crop and alerting of levels slightly in photoshop.

No folks i'm ok. This is how I have been feeling but there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Lumiere

Lumiere, a collaboration between 60 light-and-sound artists, staged as part of Durham's bid for UK culture capital in 2013. The highlight of the night was a phenomenal lighting up of Durham Cathedral, with pages from the 7th-century Lindisfarne Gospels. Pages borrowed from the British Library, and photographed, and somehow rendered in a slow-moving panoply, 100 metres wide and crawling up those impossible spires, by projection artist Ross Ashton.
What a great night and such a spectacle. Thanks to Ross for this fabulous show.
