I actually got to hold a Harris Hawk. Couldn't believe how light it was. What a beautiful bird it is.

Kingfisher

Well my patience finally paid off and I finally got some photos of the Kingfisher. It's a flighty little thing and very hard to catch at times, but this time it waited for me on the stick LOL Well me and another half dozen people scramling for the same shot and with their fabulous lenses LOL. Anyway i'm pleased what I got with my 200mm lens, they could've been sharper but I have a shot i'm happy with.

Fox cub

Not the best of shots but i was so frightened I would scare him/her with my camera noise.

Tawney Owl

A tawney owl was hiding in a tree. The images aren't perfect but I was qute a distance away so I'm rather happy they turned out ok.

Taken from the fields of Consett where I live. These fields were once home of the former British Steel Works; all gone long ago and replaced with green land.
