This last two are just John & Mel fooling around. I think it's John's impersonation of Jack Nicholson in The Shining & Mel hiding frightened away from him LOL
My friend John, fellow photographer, kindly took me under his wing last night and showed me how to set up for low key shots.Mel his wife kindly did the modelling . They maybe not to everyones taste but very different for me too. And these had hardly any work done to them other than a crop, converting to mono and altering of levels slightly in photoshop.

Great portraits Carole I like the strong contrast and the lighting gives these images a very filmnoir look.
I really like the third photograph of Mel - where only the profile of her face is lit. It's a great, almost image - almost like a painting.
It's very nice to have a friend like John. He teaches you the light and let you be creative in his studio. I love the hard lighting very much.
